By airplane, train or bus

Here are our recommendations for the nearest airport and Novi Sad main bus and train station.

The nearest airport is Nikola Tesla International Airport in Belgrade, 80 km from city of Novi Sad. From the Belgrade Airport to the center of New Belgrade and the main bus or train station, you have couple options: city bus transportation, minibuses, or taxi services (Aprox 30 min ride). 

From the New Belgrade main station, trains and buses run to Novi Sad every hour from 5:00 am to midnight every day and its about 40 min to one hour ride. 

  • Price of train ticket is around 9 euros (one way) - 40 min ride.
  • Price for bus is around 9 euros (one way) - 60 min ride.

Nikola Tesla Airport

Main bus station in Novi Sad is located in the traffic center of the city at the beginning of the Boulevard, right next to the main train station (temporary out of order due to accident), very well connected by local bus lines with the rest of the city. There is also a taxi station with several companies that can take you to the desired location in the city.

You will find useful: All legal taxi cars must have TX letters on license plate.

Prices: Start is aprox. 2 euro, each km is around 0.80 euro.  

Bus station

IMPORTANT: The Main train station in Novi Sad is temporary closed due to accident. Alternative train station in Novi Sad is PETROVARADIN train station. Located in the eastern end of the city. From there to city center you can take a taxi or city bus on line 3 and 9 that goes on every 15 min.

You will find useful: All legal taxi cars must have TX letters on license plate.

Taxi prices: Start is aprox. 2 euro, each km is around 0.80 euro.
